Untersuchungen antikörperähnlicher Substanzen in normalen Hundeleukocyten und während der Abstoßung nach Nierentransplantationen

Zusammenfassung

Untersuchungen über immunologisch wirksame Substanzen in peripheren Leukocyten und subcellulären Leukocytenfraktionen wurden an unbehandelten Hunden vor Nierentransplantationen und während der Abstoßung durchgeführt.

Es konnten in diesen Untersuchungen keine klassischen Antikörper nachgewiesen werden, cytotoxische Reaktionen waren nicht antikörperbedingt.

In der sog. Zellsaftfraktion normaler Leukocyten wurde eine kleinmolekulare Substanz festgestellt, die unspezifische Komplementbindung oder Inaktivierung ergab. Diese Reaktion zeigte während des Abstoßungsverlaufes charakteristische quantitative Veränderungen. In weiteren immunologischen Untersuchungen ergab sich, daß diese Substanz nur mit menschlichen Erythrocyten zu agglutinationsähnlichen Reaktionen führte.

Summary

Studies were made of immunologically active substances in peripheral leukocytes and subcellular leukocyte fractions in untreated dogs before kidney transplantations and during rejection.

No antibodies of a recognized type could be demonstrated in these experiments. Cytotoxic reactions were not caused by antibodies.

The cell sap fraction of normal leukocytes was found to contain a substance of low molecular weight giving unspecific complement fixation or inactivation. This reaction yielded characteristic quantitative changes in the course of rejection.

Subsequent immunological investigations showed that this substance produced patterns of an agglutination type only with human erythrocytes.
