Summary
The lymphocytes play a decisive role in the destruction of homologous transplants. With the aid of thymidine labelling it is shown that sensitised lymphocytes, in passive transfer trials, are to be found at the site of their action and in particular in the lymphatic organs. The results of serological examinations utilising the antiglobulin consumption test and the immune fluorescence technique indicate that lymphocytes of sensitised animals are capable of combining in vitro with the specific antigen.
