Summary
With a direct immune fluorecence technique it is possible to demonstrate creatine phosphokinase in tissue sections of human and rabbit skeletal muscle by means of a specifique antiserum against rabbit CPK. In comparison with other enzym stainings type II fibres with a strong reaction for adenosine triphosphatase and phosphorylase show also a higher activity of CPK than do the type I fibres.
