Summary

The protein concentration in the blood plasma from renal vein and artery, as well as from mixed venous blood was determined in the patients with clinically normal renal function.

The plasma protein level in renal vein blood is not significantly different from that in arterial blood. This is opposite to the findings in proteinuric renal disease, where the venous plasma protein concentration is lower than the arterial value.
