Abstract
Crocker Nuclear Laboratory is an organized research unit at the University of California, Davis. The primary facility at Crocker is the 76 inch isochronous cyclotron. Since 1972 the facility has supported its operations in basic and applied research by recharge made for its service. This paper examines how this method has affected the traditional missions in graduate and undergraduate education.
