Zusammenfassung
Statistische Untersuchungen haben Assoziationen zwischen Rauchen und größerer Häufung verschiedener Todesursachen ergeben. Die wichtigste praktische Folge dieser Ergebnisse bestand bis heute in einer Intensivierung der biologischen Forschung auf dem Gebiet Tabak und Gesundheit. Obwohl eine Lösung des Problems nicht in Sicht ist, beginnen sich trotzdem verschiedene Schwerpunkte abzuzeichnen, die in dieser Übersichtsarbeit kurz skizziert werden.
Résumé
Des recherches statistiques ont résulté en d'associations entre l'habitude de fumer et une augmentation de différentes causes de mort. La conséquence pratique la plus importante de ces résultats a été jusqu'à présent l'intensification de la recherche biologique scientifique dans le domaine tabac et santé. Malgré le fait qu'une solution du problème n'est pas encore en vue, plusieurs points capitaux commencent à se montrer, qui sont esquissés dans cet aperçu.
