Abstract
Thick targets containing 2, 4, 8 and 50% by weight of S in a Li2B4O7 matrix and pure S have been irradiated by protons in the energy range 0.8 to 3.0 MeV. The S K-shell ionization cross sections have been measured and compared to available theoretical and experimental data.
