Zur Bestimmung von Autoabgasen in der Straßenluft

Zusammenfassung

Nach einer Übersicht der wichtigsten toxischen Bestandteile der Autoabgase sind die Methoden und Meßergebnisse der Untersuchungen von Straßen- bzw. Garageluft in Basel beschrieben.

Kohlenmonoxyd, mit dem registrierenden Dräger-CO-Messer bestimmt, war in verkehrsreichen Straßen bis zu 0,003 V% nachweisbar. Bedeutend höhere Konzentrationen wurden in unterirdischen Garagen gefunden.

Es wird eine mobile Apparatur beschrieben, die zur Probefassung von Auspuffgasen (Formaldehyd, Ammoniak, Nitrose Gase, Schwefeldioxyd usw.) dient, ebenso werden die damit erhaltenen ersten Meßresultate bekanntgegeben.

Résumé

D'après un aperçu des parties intégrantes toxiques des gaz de moteurs d'automobiles nous avons exposé les méthodes et les résultats des enquêtes faites dans les rues de Bâle et dans les garages de cette ville.

Dans les rues à grande circulation, nous avons constaté à l'aide de l'appareil enregistreur «Dräger» jusqu'à 0,003 V% d'oxyde de carbone. Des concentrations beaucoup plus élevées ont été trouvées dans des garages souterrains.

Nous avons décrit un appareil mobile, que nous avons employé pour faire les essais de vérification des gaz de moteurs. En outre, les résultats des premiers mesurages ont été indiqués.

Summary

After a review of the important toxic gases from motor-cars there is a description of the methods and results of determinations in the air of streets and garages at Basle.

Carbonmonoxide, determined with the recording «Dräger-CO-apparatus» was found in streets with great traffic in a quantity up to 0,003 V%. The concentrations in a subterraneous garage was sometimes higher than 0,01 V%.

For the sampling procedures of exhaust-gases of motor-cars (Formaldehyd, Nitrogen oxides, Ammonia, Sulfur dioxide) a transportable apparatus is described and some results of the air pollution in the streets of Basle are given.
