Separated flows induced by the interaction between the shock wave ahead of a conic internal-compression obstacle and the boundary layer

Abstract

Specific features of three-dimensional separated flows induced by the interaction between a conic convergent shock and the boundary layer are experimentally studied for supersonic flow velocities. The data demonstrate the formation of separated-flow zones whose properties were not registered in earlier studies.
