Es wird an Winterweizenkeimpflanzen gezeigt, inwieweit der Anteil löslicher Zuckerverbindungen an der osmotisch wirksamen Substanz durch verschiedene Außeneinflüsse unter kontrollierten Bedingungen verändert wird.

Die Bedeutung des Zuckeranteils am osmotischen Wert als Indikator der Kältefestigkeit und der Auslösung der Fortpflanzungsphase der Entwicklung wird erörtert.
