Abstract
A study of the subject areas of paers published inNew Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research shows that there has been little variation in the major areas of agricultural research over 21 years. In a specific area of research, the use and effects of fertilisers, there is little change in the number of papers published on this subject until 1972 when there is a slight decrease in the number of published articles.
