Summary

Thirty bilharzial patients were studied for their vitamin A status. Of the patients, 30% were found to have low-fasting serum retinol level below the acceptable level of 20 Μg/dl and one-third were presented with night blindness. Oral vitamin A therapy was effective in correcting the vitamin A deficiency among this group of patients.
