Conclusion
The right retroperitoneal approach is a useful surgical route in selected situations. It best lends itself to right renal artery revascularization but can also be used in the other situations described herein. We hope that this and the article published in the March issue on the left retroperitoneal approach have clarified the indications and technical aspects of these approaches and will aid vascular surgeons in gaining practical experience with these versatile approaches.
