Zusammenfassung
Somatische Hybridisierung und Mutantengewinnung durchin vitro-Kulturtechniken werden referiert. Die Eignung verschiedener Pflanzenarten für eine Anwendung dieser Verfahren in Grundlagenforschung und Pflanzenzüchtung wird diskutiert und ein Überblick über den Stand derin vitro-Kulturtechniken bei bedeutenden landwirtschaftlichen Kulturpflanzen gegeben.
Summary
Somatic hybridization and mutant isolation via cell culture are reviewed. The qualification of various plant species for the application of these methods to basic research and plant breeding is discussed. A survey is made of the status of the culture techniques possible in important crop plants.
