Zusammenfassung

Es wird über ein Vorkommen vonSpirogyra pseudonodifera O. et W.Bock, erstmals außerhalb des Originalstandortes in Unterfranken, sowie über gelegentliche Beobachtungen braunfleckiger Zygoten bei anderen Arten im Harzgebiet berichtet und der taxonomische Wert dieser braunen, kissenartigen Mesosporverdickungen erörtert.

Summary

Spirogyra pseudonodifera was found in the Harz Mountains. This is the first report for this species outside its original station in Unterfranken. Other finds of Spirogyrae with brown — mostly, but not allways — polar thickenings of the mesospor are discussed and some doubts are expressed concerning a higher taxonomic significance of these structures, which may be originated from outer influences.
