Lightning as a source of forest fires

  • Published:
Combustion, Explosion and Shock Waves Aims and scope

Abstract

Parameters of lightning strokes to earth that cause forest fires are considered. The main results of studies of the spatial-temporal characteristics of lightning activities over the area of Siberia and Kazakhstan are reported.
