Limiting conditions for β-azidoethanol combustion in nonthermostated tubes

  • Published:
Combustion, Explosion and Shock Waves Aims and scope

Abstract

The limiting conditions of azidoethanol combustion at lowered pressures in air in nonthermostated tubes are studied. It is shown that the heat supply along the tube walls from the decomposition zone to the condensed phase leads to transition of azidoethanol combustion to a pulsation regime. The limiting conditions of transition from the normal combustion to the pulsation regime are determined experimentally and theoretically.
