Cimetidine prevents the induction of unresponsiveness by feeding T-dependent antigens

Bovine γ globulin (BGG) or ovalbumin (OVA) given to mice orally induced virtually complete unresponsiveness to later parenteral immunization. When these antigens were given to mice orally, following cimetidine treatment, and the animals were parenterally immunized later, enhanced response to the challenge antigen occurred.
