Abstract

The products of thermal degradation of Polyethylenvinylacetate (EVA) and Noryl® GTX in a BIS-Ofen in air- and nitrogen-atmosphere at temperatures of 400, 600 and 800‡C have been identified and quantified with GC-MS and GC-FID. Through the modification of the BIS-Ofen the working method has been improved. Ecotoxicological tests with aquatic organisms like the Microtox-Test adn test with daphnia have been performed with incineration condensates. In general the toxic potential can be compared with that obtained in incineration of wood.
