Abstract
A new method of calculating the quantity of superfluous skin in rhytidectomy is described. The use of a wire template, easily manufactured at surgery, ensures a tension-free, correctly orientated precision fit of the skin flap. A simple accurate, incision upon a premarked line replaces the previously described segmental techniques.
