Summary
The effect of potassium permanganate on the control of sprain in potatoes was tested in field experiments.
The experiments were conducted for 3 years with the varieties Eersteling (Duke of York) and Saskia, planted in light soil.
The potassium permanganate was spread on the soil and than mixed with the soil. In these experiments a dose of 90 gr/m2 distinctly decreased the percentage of tubers with sprain.
