Summary
The paper describes a micro-method for determining the modulus of stiffness, which is the extension introduced byVan der Poel of the modulus of elasticity for visco-elastic substances, where deformation is time dependent. The procedure is based on applying a sinusoidally alternating shearing stress to the substance. The method requires at most 20 mg of material.
