Summary
Monocytes, obtained from a human volunteer immunized with aLeishmania infantum-derived vaccine, when cultured in vitro displayed a strong parasiticidal activity againstL. major promastigotes. In addition, immune serum conferred leishmanicidal activities to monocytes of normal unexposed donors, and to murine macrophages.
