Summary
The effects of naloxone on mean arterial blood pressure, myocardial depressant factor (MDF) activity and survival, after splanchnic artery occlusion were studied in cats. Naloxone significantly improved survival in splanchnic artery occlusion shock and prevented the accumulation of MDF in the plasma.
