Abstract
The habit of cytosine monohydrate crystals is influenced bypH of the growth solution. Changes in crystal faces growth rates were interpreted in terms of the adsorption of hydrated hydroxonium ions. This effect was used for preparation of single crystals excessively elongated inc axis direction.
