Die Auswirkungen der Bejagung auf den Alpenbärenbestand

Zusammenfassung

Obwohl der Alpenbärenbestand seit 1939 ganzjährig geschützt ist, hat er sich bis April 1961 vermindert und beträgt nur mehr 4 Stück. Die Untersuchungen haben ergeben, daß daran vor allem die Wilderei der Schafhirten Schuld trägt. Da eine bessere Kontrolle der alpinen Bäreneinstände praktisch undurchführbar ist, empfiehlt sich statt dessen ein Verbot des sommerlichen Schafeintriebs. Darüber hinaus müßte eine aktive Bärenhege an Stelle einer bloßen Totalschonung einsetzen, womit vielleicht ein kleiner bejagbarer Bärenbestand im Herzen Europas geschaffen werden könnte

Summary

In spite of the fact that the existence of the alpine bear is protected all the year round since 1939, the number of bears has been diminished to only 4 up to April 1961. Investigations of the author resulted in the statement that above all the poaching of shepherds is responsible for this fact. The author considers a better control of alpine bear populations practically and recommends instead of it a prohibition for driving of sheep to alpine pastures in summer. Furthermore an active care for the bears ought to supplant the mere total protection, and in this case it might be possible to create a small population of bears in the heart of Europe for shooting puroses.

Quoique l'état en ours alpin est protégé pendant tout l'été depuis 1939 on a constaté que jusqu'à avril 1961 cet état a diminué jusqu'à 4 pièce seulement. Les recherches de l'auteur ont démontré que cette diminution est due au braconnage des bergers de moutons. L'auteur ne croìt pas qu'une meilleure contrôle de l'état en ours alpins soit pratiquable et il recommande au lieu de cette contrôle une défense absolue du départ des moutons pour les alpes pendant l'été. Il faut en plus une mise en défends active pour les ours, une seule protection totale n'étant plus efficace, on peut alors espérer que par cette mésure on réussira peut-être d'éléver un état des ours bon à la chasse.
