Teratogenic effects of azaserine in the Syrian golden hamster

Summary

Azaserine is a potent pancreatic carcinogen in the rat, but not in the Syrian golden hamster. The present study shows, however, that the hamster shares with the rat susceptibility to the embryotoxic and teratogenic effects of this drug.
