Summary
Extracts of the male brush-organs of the vine moth,Phalaenoides glycinae Lew., have been found to contain 2-phenylethanol and 2-phenyl-2-phenylethanolacetate.

GC/MS was performed on a Varian MAT 111 using a 1.5 m×2 mm glass-lined stailess steel column packed with 3% OV17 on Gaschrom Q. mesh size 80–100, with temperature programming from 70–120°C at 6°C/min and carrier gas (helium) flowing at 15 ml/min.
