On linear content optimisation of magazine editorials

Summary

In the publishing industry, the reading intensities of magazine editorials are asked for by copytests. Editorials and persons are grouped, and a condensed data matrix is obtained from raw data. A linear content optimisation is presented working on the macro model matrix and is illustrated by an example.

Zusammenfassung

Im Verlagswesen werden durch Copyteste die Leseintensitäten von Zeitschriftenbeiträgen ermittelt. Beiträge und Personen werden zu Gruppen zusammengefaßt, so daß aus den Rohdaten eine verdichtete Datenmatrix gewonnen wird. Sie bildet die Grundlage für eine lineare Contentoptimierung, die durch ein Beispiel deutlich gemacht wird.
