Summary
The aim of this paper is the solution of a feedback control problem. We concern a dynamic system whose output is the sum of the outputs of two ARMA-filters. The inputs of these filters are the control of the system and white noise respectively. We have to minimize costs arising from the deviation of the system-output from a fixed target and by the control of the system. This leads to a problem of dynamic optimization, which is solved by the method of backward induction. In some special cases the computation of optimal system controls is possible by means of explicit formulas.
