Carbohydrate composition of the human cataractous lenses

Summary

Specific chemical assays, including carbohydrate, hexosamines and hexuronic acid, were determined on the lens insoluble albumoid. It was noticed that the carbohydrate composition varies with age. The significance of carbohydrate in the lens in discussed.
