Mittels203Hg als Hg-Chlorid wurden die freien SH-Gruppen des Hämoglobins in einem stromafreien Hämolysat titriert und festgestellt, dass die durchschnittliche Zahl freier, reaktiver SH-Gruppen pro Molekül 2,5 betrug.
