La sintesi di β-glucuronidasi nel fegato di ratti di 4 e 24 mesi di vita trattati con desametasone-21-fosfato viene apparentemente diminuita negli animali giovani e non in quelli senescenti. In questi ultimi si osserva al contratio una stimolazione della sintesi di triptofano ossigenasi superiore a quella presentata dagli animali di giovane età.
