Polytane Chromosomen und Metaphasen der Ganglionen vonD. formella-Larven aus Hawaii wurden untersucht. Die Ergebnisse unterstützen das Konzept über die möglicherweise wichtigen zytologischen Wirkungen des Chromosomenbruches im Bereich des zentromeren Heterochromatins.
