Is local antigen persistence responsible for the chronicity of the experimental immune arthritis of the rabbit?

Summary

Local antigen trapping in the cartilaginous intra-articular structures can be present without histological evidence of synovitis and is therefore, not necessarily causally related to chronic inflammation.
