Über die Exzitationswirkung des Äthers

Zusammenfassung

Die Zusammenfassung der Resultate ergibt, daß die Ätherexzitation trotz ausgesprochener Schlafmittelwirkung durch am Normaltier unterschwellige Konzentrationen ausgelöst wird, und daß sie umgekehrt durch Gifte, die im allgemeinen erregende Wirkungen haben, unterdrückt wird.

Beide Typen von Giften verstärken gleicherweise die narkotische Wirkung von Ätherkonzentrationen, die am Normaltier unterschwellig sind.

Es wäre verfrüht, zu versuchen, aus diesem Ergebnis Schlüsse auf die Lokalisation der Erregungswirkungen zu ziehen.
