Planta Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Young plants ofBryophyllum daigremontianum, which do not form flowers in response to the change from long day to short day, can easily be induced to flower by grafting onto flowering donor stocks, indicating that the growing points of young plants are fully capable of responding to the floral stimulus but their leaves are incapable of producing the latter.
