Zusammenfassung
MitT i (i=1, 2, ...) seien identisch verteilte, unabhängige, nicht-negative Zufallsgrößen bezeichnet.
Summary
LetT i (i=1, 2, ...) be identically independently distributed nonnegative random variables. The distribution function ofT i is at first assumed to be non-lattice. The probability of the event
witht>0,τ>0 is obtained. The asymptotic solution forτ → ∞ will be established. A connection to the so-called exzess-variable is mentioned. Next, the case where theT i 's are lattice random variables is investigated. Some examples illustrate the results.
