Influence of hydroxyethylstarch and dextran on TNF-α-production and procoagulant activity of monocytes in vitro

Conclusion

Our results show no influence of both artifical colloids, HES and DX, on the PBMC's basal or LPS-stimulated in-vitro cytocine production and TF-expression. The data give no evidence that LPS-signal-transduction by MNC's is impaired by HES or DX.
