Neue Beobachtungen zur Fortpflanzungsbiologie des Murmeltieres

Zusammenfassung

An zwei in Gefangenschaft gehaltenen Murmeltieren konnten Beobachtungen zur Fortpflanzungsbiologie gemacht werden. Die Paarung fand kurze Zeit nach der Beendigung des Winterschlafes statt. 33 bis 34 Tage nach der Begattung brachte das Weibchen 7 Junge (2♂, 5♀) zur Welt. Die Augen öffneten sich vom 23. Tage an, vom 26. Tage ab brachen die Nagezähne durch. Mit 40 Tagen verließen die Jungen zum erstenmal den Bau; nach dieser Zeit begannen sie mit selbständiger Nahrungsaufnahme. Die Beobachtungen werden fortgesetzt.

Summary

It was possible to make observations concerning the biology of propagation in the case of two marmots kept in captivity. Copulation occurred shortly afler hibernation was finished. 33 to 34 days after copulation the female gave birth to 7 young, ones (2♂, 5♀). The eyes opened afler the 23rd day, after the 26th day the gnawing teeth broke through. With 40 days the young ones left the burrow for the first time; after that time they started to feed independently. Observations are continued.

Sur la biologie de la propagation des observations ont été faites sur deux marmottes tenues en captivité. L'accouplement avait lieu quelque temps après la fin du sommeil hivernal. 33 à 34 jours après l'accouplement la femelle mettait bas 7 petits (2♂, 5♀). A partir du 23e jours les yeux des petits s'ouvraient; les dents rongeurs, perçaient à partir du 26e jours. 40 jours après leurs naissance les petits quittaient pour la première fois le terrier, après ce temps ils cherchaient même leurs nourriture. Les observations seront continuées.
