Summary
The minimum variance unbiased estimation for the zero class truncated bivariate Poisson and logarithmic series distributions is discussed. The distribution of a suitable complete and sufficient statistic is obtained in each case. These distributions, as well as the corresponding minimum variance unbiased estimators have been expressed in terms of certain polynomials with coefficients Stirling numbers.
