Abstract
The rate of release of sulfur oxides from basic aluminium ammonium sulfate (BAAS) under isothermal, isobaric conditions in a hydrogen atmosphere was studied.
Twomethods of selection of theg(α) function which best describes the isothermal experimental data are discussed.
The first method is based on statistical criteria and the second one on the the use of a reduced-time scale. Kinetic parameters for the thermal decomposition of BAAS in a hydrogen atmosphere are reported.
