Possibilities of applying the Piloyan method of determination of decomposition activation energies in the differential thermal analysis of polynitroaromatic compounds and their derivatives

Part VI. Relationships found between chromatographic and thermal analysis data forN-substituted 2,6-dinitroanilines

Abstract

The Piloyan activation energiesE and initial exotherm temperaturesT D of fiveN-monoalkyl — and fourN,N-dialkyl-2,6-dinitroanilines were determined. By comparison withR f factors, or values ofR M functions of paper chromatography, the molecular-structural dependences of the values ofE andT D for the measured compounds were studied. The relationship between theE · T −1 D term and theR M functions is discussed from the viewpoint of the published data on the conformations ofN-substituted polynitroanilines.

Résumé

On a déterminé les énergies d'activationE d'après Piloyan et les valeurs initialesT D de cinqN-monoalkyl- et quatreN,N-dialkyl-2,6-dinitroanilines. En se référant aux facteursR F ou aux valeurs des fonctionsR M de la Chromatographie sur papier, on a étudié la dépeN-dance entre les valeurs deE et deT D et les caractéristiques moléculaires-structurales. On discute la corrélation entre le termeE · T −1D , d'une part, et les fonctionsR M, d'autre part, du point de vue des données publiées sur la structure des polynitroanilinesN-substituées.

Zusammenfassung

Die AktivierungsenergienE nach Piloyan und die Anfangswerte der ExothermenT D von fünfN-monoalkyl- und vierN,N-dialkyl-2,6-dinitroanilinen wurden bestimmt. Unter Berücksichtigung des Vergleichs mit denR f-Faktoren oder Werten vonR M-Funktionen der Papierchromatographie wurden die molekular-strukturellen Abhängigkeiten der WerteE undT D für die gemessenen Verbindungen untersucht. Die Zusammenhänge zwischen dem AusdruckE · T −1 D einerseits und denR M-Funktionen andererseits werden unter Berücksichtigung der überN-substituierten PolynitroaniliN-Konformationen veröffentlichten Angaben diskutiert.

Определены энергии а ктивацииE по Пилояну и начальные экзотермы Тл для пятиN-моноалкил- и чет ырехN,N-диалкил-2,6-динитроани линов. Учитывая сравн ение сR f-факторами или значе ниямиR M-функций бумаж ной хроматографии, для да нных соединений изучены молекулярно-структурные зависим ости значенийE и Гд. Исходя из опубликованных данных о конформацииN-замещенных полинитр оанилинов, обсуждены зависимос ти между выражениемE.T −1д иR M -функциями.
