Zur Bekämpfung des Apfelglasflüglers, Aegeria myopaeformis Borkhausen

Abstract

The Apple-clearwing which is found in whole Europe, increases in importance in the last few years. The cater-pillars of the Apple-clearwing live unde the bark in the wood of as well old as young fruittrees.

Investigations in 1976 and 1977 proved that a chemical control of the Apple-clearwing can be executed successfully either during the flightperiod of this insect or in the autumn and the following spring.

Insecticides based on the active ingredient Endosulfan have given promising control.

The spraying specially should be focused on the trunks, root necks and the thick branches of the fruittress.

Zusammenfassung

Untersuchungen 1976 und 1977 in den Niederlanden ergaben, daß der Apfelglasflügler,Aegeria myopaeformis erfolgreich mit Endosulfan-Präparaten bekämpft werden kann und zwar entweder während des Falterflugs oder im Herbst und folgenden Frühjahr. Die Zeit des Falterflugs kann mit Lockstoff-Fallen ermittelt werden. Der Spritzstrahl soll sich auf den Stamm, den Wurzelhals und die dicken Äste richten.
