Additional information

Professor Dalton is the Head of the Department and Dr Gibbs is a Reader in human geography. Dr Longhurst is the Director of the Atmospheric Research and Information Centre. The Conference was organized by the Academic Advisory Committee which is comprised of the following representatives of the four universities in Manchester and Salford: Professor S.A. Dalton, Manchester Metropolitan University (chair), Professor P.S. Craig, University of Salford, Professor I. Douglas, University of Manchester, Professor P. W. Foster, UMIST, Dr K.
