Summary
The hereditary cataract induced by X-irradiation of a female rat during infancy appears to be different from the spontaneous hereditary cataracts previously described in the rat. No significant difference was found between the weight of mutants and controls. This phenotype seems to be related to some alterations in the metabolism of the carbon hydrates.
