Die Isolierung der im Pansen vorkommenden Bakteriophagen wird erstmals beschrieben. Bakteriophagen, dieStreptococcus bovis und PansenSerratiae spp. angreifen, wurden aus vielen Pansen-Proben isoliert und eingehend untersucht;Bacteroides ruminicola Phage wurde dabei nicht aufgefunden.
