Summary
Copper deficiency of the rat leads to a reduction of the histochemically demonstrable cytochrome oxidase activity of the glandula extraorbitalis, and to atrophy and fatty degeneration of the glandular cells. The histological alterations are more pronounced in the male than in the female.
