Abstract
A wide spectrum of unusual contrast accumulations may be encountered during percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography. They may be divided into 5 groups: (a) masses, (b) intravascular collections, (c) perivascular collections, (d) sub- and extracapsular collections, and (e) parenchymal stains. Recognition is important to avoid potential diagnostic pitfalls.
