Abstract

This article describes the application of percutaneous needle biopsy of hepatic neoplasms in conjunction with hepatic angiography in 10 adult patients. The use of a modified skinny needle permitted successful aspiration biopsy of the liver in all cases, irrespective of the degree of tumor vascularity on hepatic angiograms. The specimens were adequate for pathological diagnosis, and no complications were encountered in this series.
